Tyler seems somewhat ready but I'm leery of starting down this path. For one thing, I'm worried about his speech delay. How is he supposed to let us know he needs to go if he can't speak? Of course, the way he tells us know is to pull his pants down no matter where he is. He's figured out how to pull his diapers off and pull his pants back up. Unfortunately, sometimes we don't even know when he going commando until the puddle reveals all. Like Annali, he likes to sit on the potty but doesn't produce much at this point. Really, though, the major decider is whether or not my mom wants to go all out with the training effort since she is with him the majority of his waking hours. What do you think, ma?
Decisions, decisions! Maybe I was a wimp, but for my kiddos I waited until right when they turned 3, and potty training was so easy then. (Other than my strong-willed second born who potty trained herself at 17 months! She's still strong willed 14 years later, by the way!) It was also easier to potty train in warm weather when they can run around in their big boy/girl undies! All this to say...if he seems ready, give it a try for a few days...if it's going well go ahead, otherwise just put it on hold for a while. Good luck! (and that's probably waaaayyyy more info than you were looking for!:o)

Well, I think we should give it a try, as Tyler does seem interested.
